Askania Pilot's Watch - Technically Robust Masterpiece

ASKANIA was founded in Berlin in 1871 and was known for producing state-of-the-art precision instruments for the navy, observatories, research and expeditions. Initially, the focus was primarily on the production of equipment for shipping. With the invention of the aircraft in the early 1920s, attention was also paid to wrist watches and altimeters. ASKANIA's on-board and wristwatches were accompanied by Elly Beinhorn on their record-breaking flights. Later even the film industry from ASKANIA was supplied with film screening and cinema equipment. In 2006, the brand was revived with the aim to produce high-quality, mainly mechanical wristwatches in Berlin.

The watch presented here is a tribute to the record flying of Elly Beinhorn. A technical, very robust masterpiece.
